Business partners

We partner with businesses committed to the ethical development of the bamboo industry in Viet Nam. Our business partnerships take several forms depending on our partners’ needs but typically fall into three main categories:

Information Partners

Mekong Bamboo is in direct contact with more than 350 bamboo processing businesses in Viet Nam who we regularly supply with industry data such as raw bamboo supply, price and local and international demand.

Advisory Partners

We also provide businesses with tailored research and custom consulting solutions when they are interested in implementing innovative pro-poor technologies such as industrial pressed bamboo.

Investment Partners

For a small set of catalytic businesses, we help them find third party financing for investments in new bamboo processing technologies. For small businesses, Mekong Bamboo can subsidize investments directly. These businesses then serve as examples to demonstrate new technologies to other businesses, donors and partners.

These businesses provide Mekong Bamboo with detailed information on the impact of new production technologies from an input, output, price and market perspective – which is critically important in monitoring the impact of investment in the community.
